CURRENT EXPERIENCE
Peter Kappertz has been instrumental in the design of well over 300 feeling facility since 1987. His petroleum expertise ranges from gas stations and car- locks to truck stops and bulk plants. In May 1995 he established, Kappertz Design Corporation.The business is dedicated to providing design services for small commercial projects with a specialty in the petroleum industry. Their primary objective is to provide complete “turn-key” services, covering all phases of site design, building design and permit processing.Their target market includes: gas stations, convenience stores and car wash facilities. To better address the target market, the business business is now operating under the name Petroleum Designs.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
Peter Kappertz worked more than six years as a project manager fro a commercial design firm. During hie tenure he coordinated the fast-track site design permitting of 20 quick service restaurants and he was involved with design in numerous fuel facilities in the western United States.These projects included new construction, remodels, and fuel system upgrades to meet EAP requirements. He had primary design responsibility for all projects, and encompass project quality standards, contracts, cost estimates, schedules, site investigations and client coordination for design service.
Before entering to the petroleum design field, Peter Kappertz worked 2 years as Construction managerFor a commercialDevelopment company.His most notable achievementWhat is the planning and coordination of the complete remodeling of 96 convenience stores within a six-month period. Mr. kappertz also supervised the design and construction of six new convenience stores with retail services in less than 18 months. Add additional responsibilities include value engineering ,fast-track CPM, scheduling, Evaluation of bid proposals, and mediation of subcontractor conflicts.
Peter Kappertz previous experience includes 3 years working for major commercial contractors as Cost Estimator, Project Engineer, an Assistant Project Manager. The various projects he worked on include tilt up concrete, Post tension concrete and steel frame construction ranging from $400,000 to $15,000,000in value.

- Former Washington state and Oregon State licensed UST Supervisor
- Licensed Architect in Oregon and Washington
- Bachelor of Architecture, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
- Founding Vice President, former Director, Boring, Oregon foundation
- Eagle Scout, past Cub-Master and past Scout-Master, Wood Badge staff
